Within our Rome Gourmet food tour in Trastevere you will discover the flavours of Lazio and its capital Rome, through a tasty walk in the typical surrounding of Trastevere, featuring colourful alleys and ancient artisanal boutiques.

You will discover the old recipes of the city and enter into the beating heart of Italian capital, escorted by a local expert!

Our Gourmet Rome food tour presents several food stops and each dish is served in a different restaurant or food shop. We will begin with an ‘aperitivo’ of Roman cheeses and a glass of wine; then we will have traditional must-have such as Roman supplì, the white pizza, baked pork meat (the famous ‘porchetta’) and the pasta with carbonara sauce. You will learn how to make the real pasta with carbonara sauce and we will play together the "Gioco dell'Ova" (Eggs game), with tastings of unusual and gourmet preparations like caviar and oysters.

As a sweet goodbye, finally we will have a cone of the best artisanal gelato in the area!

Hand-made biscuits: crunchy biscuits, with simple ingredients and an unforgettable taste! We will taste them in an old cookie's factory from 1920.
Artisanal cheeses: tasty local cheeses that change according to season and producers’ choices, made with raw milk and prepared according to natural techniques. All of this and much more accompanied by registered wines and selected according to local excellence.
White pizza: unique of its kind, it is a delicacy that can be found only in Rome! The capital’s masterpiece of street food, its apparently simple dough is impossible to replicate if the recipe is not known. Typically tasted warm in the late morning.
Porchetta: pork meat, baked in the oven usually served along with the white pizza. It is spicy and perfect if served warm.
Suppli': rice ball with meat sauce or another typical garnishment such as cheese and black pepper. They feature a crunchy crust and are fried: this is a must try!
Pasta alla carbonara: intense flavour, typical from Rome and prepared with Italian bacon, pecorino cheese and black pepper. Hint: international carbonara is different from the traditional Italian one! We will taste it in one of the most important Gourmet Restaurant in Rome and we will learn how to make it with the chef! We will also play the "Eggs game" (an amazing Show cooking) with tastings of different preparations.
Artisanal gelato: one of the best in town prepared with natural ingredients and presented in innovative and stunning flavours.
